Expected changes to the rules for international travel into the United States have been confirmed.
The rules apply to both vaccinated Americans and international visitors along with non-vaccinated Americas, who have been forced to test within 24-hours since last month.
While rumors swirled of a second post-travel test being added, the White House did not make that announcement this week, though the CDC did say it was increasing COVID-19 surveillance at four of the country’s busiest airports—Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, John F. Kennedy International Airport, Newark Liberty International Airport, and San Francisco International Airport.
It is still very much in the early stages of fact-finding for Omicron but after the first case was found in California on Wednesday, more Omicron-related cases were reported across the nation including in Colorado, New York, and Minnesota.
The expectation had always been that omicron would be found in the U.S. but now work begins to develop more information about the variant. So far,
